SCIENCE AT LONG TRAIL SCHOOL

At L.T.S., we are committed to a rigorous college preparatory curriculum.  Each of our classes is designed to provide students with a hands-on and minds-on introduction to various concentrations of science.  From Earth Science in 6th grade through to Advanced Environmental Science in 12th grade, students are prepared for their next year of study until college.  By working with student interest on a "need to know" basis, we build a more sophisticated understanding of physics, chemistry, biology, environmental and earth science.

Students are given an opportunity to design experiments to answer questions that they generate about the content of the class.  They actively participate in the learning process and understand science to be an ever-changing and vibrant discipline that challenges and enhances our lives every day.

LONG TRAIL SCHOOL provides an intellectually enriching curriculum in a supportive, caring environment to foster in each student a lifelong commitment to excellence.
